You no longer have morning sickness, fatigue, or breast tenderness. Most women feel energetic but also start to put on some weight. During the the 20th week, the woman's uterus will be 20 times it's normal size. The uterus is the muschle that holds the fetus. The fetus grows over 2 pounds during the second trimester. Towards the end of this stage, the fetus is about 12 inches long. At the end of the 16th week, the top of the uterus is halfway between the mother’s belly button and the pubic bone. Also, by the end of 27th week, the top of the uterus should be about one inch above the belly button.
