Swaddling is when you wrap material around the infants body. Archeologist say that it started in 4000 B.C. A completely unswaddled child is typically able to walk by the age of one. If you swaddle your baby you are postponing there development. If the baby is swaddled it doesnt have there hands, arms, and legs free. If its head is covered when you swaddle it you are putting the child at risk for language acquisition to delay because they wont be able to hear what other's hear.
